Camp Director Danny Kaspar
    Danny Kaspar, head basketball coach at Stephen F. Austin State University will serve as camp director. Kaspar is among the most successful active Division I coaches with an overall record of 377-156 as he enters his tenth season with the Lumberjacks.

    Kaspar has led the Lumberjacks to a 158-104 record during his nine years (2000-2009) with S.F.A. In 2008, Kaspar’s Lumberjack team went 26-6 and won the Southland Conference Regular Season Championship. The Jacks were invited to the National Invitational Tournament. For his efforts, Kaspar was named 2008 Southland Conference Coach of the Year. In 2009, his Lumberjack team went 24-8 and repeated as Southland Conference regular season Champions. They also won the Southland Conference Post-Season Tournament for the 1st time in school history and advanced to the school’s 1st ever N.C.A.A. tournament appearance. In recognition of his team’s accomplishments, Kaspar was named Texas Division 1 Coach of the Year by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

    Prior to his arrival at S.F.A., Kaspar served nine seasons as the Head Basketball Coach and Assistant Director of Athletics for the University of the Incarnate Word. While at Incarnate Word, Kaspar compiled a 219-52 record; which was the best of any four year university in Texas during the 1991-2000 timeframe. Kaspar was selected NAIA National Coach of the Year by Basketball Weekly Magazine in 1999 and Heart of Texas Conference Coach of the Year in 1993, 1994, 1998, and 1999. In his 31 years of coaching, Kaspar has directed 84 basketball camps.
