IRON JACK CAMP MISSION

The Iron Jack Speed & Strength Camp is committed to building a solid foundation of physical development through sport specific speed and strength training.

IRON JACK CAMP OBJECTIVES

    The Iron Jack Speed & Strength Camp is open to coaches and male / female athletes in all sports. It will provide coaches and athletes with:

IRON JACK CAMP DESCRIPTION
    Coaches will learn the science behind designing a comprehensive sport specific training program.   The athletes will participate in a battery of strength and conditioning tests, learn proper from / technique of strength and conditioning exercises, and gain knowledge in individual sport specific training.  Coaches will have the opportunity to observe and apply coaching instructional knowledge with the athletes.

COSTS

Athlete:
$50 before May 16th ___    $60 after May 16th ___   


Coach:
$50 before May 16th ___   $60 after May 16th ___

$40 before May 16th & bringing 8 or more athletes ___

CAMP LOCATION:

    Stephen F. Austin State University is located in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Registration and Coach Camp will be in the SFA Fieldhouse.  Workouts will take place at the Jimmy W. Murphy Wellness Center and Homer Bryce Stadium.

REGISTRATION / CHECK IN:

    Registration / Check In begins Saturday May 31st at 8:30 am.  Medical Release for all athletes must be signed prior to participation.

REQUIRED SUPPLIES:

    Towel, tennis shoes, athletic shoes, comfortable workout clothes, water bottle, sunscreen, and all necessary medications.  Coaches and participants are responsible for providing their own food supply during the camp.  Participants are responsible for providing their own necessary medication (i.e. inhalers, etc).

ENROLLMENT:

    Each camper must return the application form with the appropriate fee by May 16th to receive discount clinic rate.  The clinic will admit all athletes on a first – to – register basis, and has space for 100 athletes..

ELIGIBILTY:

    Open to all coaches and any male or female athlete entering grades 7-12.

CANCELATION POLICY:

    All request for refunds should be submitted in writing.  Refunds are not given to participants who voluntarily leave the clinic or who are sent home for disciplinary reasons.  Refunds for any reason are not issued after May 26, 2008.
